Jackson Irvine: Australia Percaya Diri Hadapi Indonesia

Australia’s national team experienced player, Jackson Irvine, expressed confidence ahead of facing Indonesia in the seventh match of the third round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in Group C at the Sydney Football Stadium on Thursday (20/3) at 16.10 WIB. Irvine stated that the team is calm and confident with their current progress, believing that they are building something truly positive. Despite the disappointing results in the last two qualifiers against Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, Irvine reassured that they are well-prepared to face Indonesia, led by new coach, Patrick Kluivert. With his 76 caps for his country, Irvine emphasized the importance of learning from past matches and aiming for six points in the games this month. The Australian team, currently ranked second in Group C, called up 26 players including four new names – Alex Grant, Ryan Teague, Kai Trewin, and Nectarios Triantis. Irvine stands as the third-most capped player in the squad, behind Aziz Behich and Mathew Ryan. With Australia having seven points, one more than Indonesia in third place and nine behind Japan in first, the upcoming matches are crucial for their qualification prospects.
