McLaren’s racer Lando Norris is confident that his teammate Oscar Piastri will become a world champion in the future. Norris recently won a tough competition against Piastri and Red Bull racer Max Verstappen in the battle for the Formula 1 world championship title in the 2025 season after dramatically clinching a podium finish in the final race, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
“I have two other very fast guys who have made my life difficult this year. Oscar has been dominant since the first race of the season; I knew he would be the toughest to beat. And then I can’t forget about counting Max in the title race; he is Max,” said Lando Norris as quoted from the Formula 1 website. Norris revealed that he enjoyed the competition against Verstappen this season, as well as the rivalry with his teammate Piastri, who is predicted to clinch a future world champion title.
“For me, to have battles against him (Max Verstappen) and enjoy those moments, I may not always enjoy it but some races I did enjoy battling on the track with another world champion like him and of course Oscar too, who will become a world champion,” said the 26-year-old British driver. He admitted that sometimes the negative results made his life feel like hell due to the pressure of competing against Piastri and Verstappen, which only made things more complicated.
“I really enjoyed this season because of that. As much as they made my life hell most of the time, those moments were some of the most enjoyable,” Norris expressed.
